my first cupcake on aidan's almost birthday

Aidan's snack share day is today, also for celebrating his birthday with his friends at school. It's not quite his birthday yet, but today is his last day of school before his birthday. I decided to make his cupcakes, with racing cars as toppings, between the schedule yesterday, I ended up have to wake up in the middle of the night, making the toppings so I could bring the cupcakes in the morning for drop off. Aidan saw it before we left, no comments, nothing, he was just sitting down there, and staring at the cupcakes in awe. I love you, baby!

a sexy tennis dress

I bought a tennis dress, and I wore it this morning to try it on and showed it to my husband, asking his opinion. Aidan woke up, went downstairs and saw me.... here what he said : "Mommy, why are you naked mommy ?" Me: "I am not naked, Aidan" Aidan: "Mommy, if you are not naked, why are you wearing dress ? Are you going to dancing party ????" How in the world a 3.5 years old knows about dancing party ? Is it because I wore 1 piece white short dress and showed every single corner of my body ?

Ice Skating lessons

Last year, when Aidan was almost 3 years old, we tried to get him out with his sister to get the lessons at different ice skating place we usually have lessons at.
He was so apprehensive and we were just fighting him out not to escape from the rink and ran to play with the coin car machine outside (very big distractions!!!). I also found out that Nadia wasn't really improved at all in her ice skating skills.

So this year, we moved back to our old place and what a big difference I see from him. At the age of 3.5 years old, he was so welcoming and eager to learn. The teachers were so good and he did so well and follow the instructions. He even could get up by himself every time he fell.

Nadia had fever that day so she missed her first day of lesson, but we were surprised that when I joined Aidan on the last 15 minutes of his lesson, I heard a very familiar voice, it was Nadia and her daddy waiting by the ice rink with donuts in hand. We ate really yummy warm donuts after the cold ice rink.

Love his new school

Aidan has started his early 3 class together at the same school with Nadia. Aidan loves his teacher so much. He said he loves Miss Sandy more than me and Miss Andrea (his nanny).

This morning :
Aidan : "Where are we going today, mommy ?"
Me : "Aidan is going to school. You are going to see Miss Sandy today"
Aidan : "Oh.. okay... I love miss Sandy"
Me : "Then I will come and pick you guys up, then Nadia will have piano lesson"
Aidan : "Ah... Nadia will go to PU-ANO lesson... okay mommy, I love you, TOO" (he always says I love you, too, although I didn't say I love you to him.. hahahah)

Aidan is on 'titanic' boat

Aidan loves watching movie Titanic for the last 3 weeks. He is a funny guy who doesn't care about dora or diego, no baby einstein, but loves watching beautiful girls on the barbie and thumbelina movies. He loves cars movies, monster aliens, and wallace and grommit. His first movie he'd ever watch was when he was 2.5 year old, which is Spiderman.

When we arrived on the cruise, he was so fascinated, but tired at the same time, so he missed the drill on the boat 1 hour before we sailed to Mexico. He really wanted to go on the emergency small boats, so everyday, he told me that he wanted the cruise ship to hit the iceberg so he could get on the emergency boat. Too bad, it's carribean sea, so no iceberg, buddy!

He has so much fun, and he'd rather sleep in the same room with Nadia than sleeping in our room. The kids really enjoyed sleeping in the same bedroom, because at home, they have their own bedrooms.

He loves Nadia so much that he could spend the whole cruise ship with her and us. We have fun factory, a fun place for the kids Aidan and Nadia's age to go explore their friends in the cruise ship, having lunch party, dinner party, or slumber party together, crafts, drawings, toys, etc, you named it, they have them ready for the kids and parents could leave them having fun while they could spend the time together alone without kids, BUT we hardly sent Nadia and Aidan there. For the whole trip, we only sent Aidan once, and Nadia twice, just because Nadia wanted to play with her friends there. We only left her for max 2 hours each time, we love spending time with the kids more than anything.

It's really a fun trip. Aidan loves taking pictures so I got my pictures in this trip, also. Thank you, Aidan!

Aidan accomplished big thing on the cruise ship. He finally ... oh Gosh.. FINALLY fully potty trained. As soon as we told him that on the boat, he can't wear diaper, and when we told him that he couldn't be in the fun factory because he is in diaper, we managed to take his diaper out and put his underwear, and he had dry underwear on the whole trip until now... YAY Aidan. God is fair, we got a very well potty trained girl, who never did number 2 since she was 1 year old, and fully potty trained at the age of 2, we had to fight and deal with a boy who finally potty trained because he wanted to be on the cruise ship and airplane, at the age of 3 years and 2 months.

feverish

Aidan felt warm this morning. I gave him children motrin and sent him to go to the library with miss Andrea until noon while I studied at home. He went home and straight to nap. When he woke up, I felt his body was really hot... I bathed him, and he felt better.
He drank his milk, then I fed him and Nadia dinner. Ammar went home late tonight, so we ate dinner ourselves first. Aidan ate real good, but he complaint his stomach was hurting him. I gave him a dose of children tylenol. He complaint his eyes were hurting, I had to keep rubbing softly his eyes, they were teary. Oh my poor baby.
I gave him a hug, put him in my lap, hugging him and kissed his warm body and cheeks... oh God, please take his fever away.
I always so worry when they got sick..... :(

Tonight, he slept with his daddy in the big bed, after vomiting before sleep time.
I could see both lying on the bed, and I headed downstairs to continue my study.

Nadia was way asleep after I read her 2 books, chapter books. She loves books so much!

quips of a 2 year old

1. We were driving to school, it was Aidan's 5th day of early 3 school, he loves his school but he likes to say no to everything. He knows already when he was watching the roads out while we were driving and asked me .
Aidan : "mommy, I don't want to go school, please"
Me : "Why not Aidan ? You don't want to go school ?"
Aidan : "Annnnn (Aidan) don't wanna go school. I don't want to be smart!"
Me : (laughing inside so hard!!!)
Sure enough, when we got to school, he jumped in the classroom and did circle time, no problem.

2. This morning he was looking for me when he woke up. I hid from him because I didn't want him to see me in Nadia's room, then I went downstairs to see him who was spending time with his dad.
Me : "Hi AIDAN!" Good morning!"
Aidan : "huhhhhh ? You scared me, Mommy..... My eyes broken.... You scared me!!!"

Big helper

It's time that I had to do laundry, I usually sit down with the kids in the living room so while they are playing like best buddies (really, they love each other), I could just fold the laundry.
Apparently Aidan has been observing the way I made the laundry flat with my hands and folding them... he came to me while Nadia plays with legos, and said : "I wannnna help you with laundry".

He picked one from the laundry basket, and fold it the way a 2 year old folds, and put it on the top of my folded laundry. It was not perfect, but he did it.. then he told me : "mommy help Aidan fold laundry"

I laid the shirt down..., he said : "It's Nani's shirt!!" And he started to flattened it up so there was no wrinkles... then I fold one side, he right away flattened my fold again with his cute hands.... again and again until it's all folded up...

He kept doing it, for about 15 minutes untill all my laundry had almost done.!!

I am just so proud of him!

This is how a boy say hi.

We were about to go to bed, then Aidan just bonked Nadia's head with pillow,

Daddy : "Hey, Aidan, don't do that, it's not nice to slam Nadia's head with pillow!"
Aidan : (ran and sitting down on the sofa with the pillow and smiled) : "I want to say hi to Nani, HI NANI!!!"

Nani is a name that Aidan calls Nadia with. He can say Nadia, but he'd rather call her Nani, he also call himself "An.... (read: end)" if he talks.

Aidan (yelling and running) : "Mommy..... bumbee bill!!! Help"
Me : "what, bumble bee ?"
Aidan : "bumbee bill!!!!"
Me : "okay, where is it ?"
Aidan : "there!!!" (pointing on the wall)
Me : "hahahah, it's not bumble bee, it's a fly!"
Aidan : "it's bumbee bill!!!!!"
