Missing his sister

It's Nadia's first day at school today. Aidan kept asking about his sister. He misses her so much that he keeps singing Nadia's song, the song that I sing for her every night before she goes to bed. Aidan has his own song, too.
He was a bit cranky and has separation anxiety, so I too him to Hands On Museum. We were there for almost 3 hours until he asked me to go home. Finally. I planned not to let him nap because his nap fights with Nadia's schedule. I have to pick Nadia up at 3.30 and Aidab naps from 1.30 - 4 pm. $
He fell asleep in the car, so I decided not to go home, we waited at Nadia's school's parking lot for 1 hour.
Aidan wake up 30 minutes after Nadia got in the car. He didn't have good amount of nap, which is good.
Both kids went to bed early, YAY! 8 pm they are already in the clouds.
My plan works, this way Aidan can nap from 12 to 3 and go straight picking up Nadia from school.

The car movie

Aidan had never really interested in watching movie... he started to get interested in the movies when they have something to do with transportation. He would sit for maximum 15 minutes since we were in Indonesia last May. His interest in movie started when he watched "Kung Fu Panda", constantly asking for Kung Fu Panda. When we arrived back, he didn't want to watch Kung Fu Panda again, transportation movies only.

Now, Aidan is a tv head, only for Car movie, he keeps asking to play the Car movie all the time, and he would sit, not moving, watching Car movie for a whole time until it's done.
This happens only for the last 5 days.

In the car, he would tell me : "Mommy, car sing, please!". What he meant was that he wanted the car song to be played again and again until the sister complains about it.

The funny part is, when I played the Car Movie at home, he would run and dance around and around the living room, when the "car sing" is on..... hahahah, he would just say : "Mommy, Aidan dance!"

Strawberry farm

Aidan loves strawberry and he went to pick up some strawberry with Miss Andrea, Sam, Nadia and I.
Andrea found a funny looking strawberry. It looks like grapes with clusters.
Andrea : "Aidan, look at this strawberry. It has so much little ones"
Aidan : "I wanna eat it ?"

issssyaaaaa ?

Wow, it's been so long I haven't posted anything on my little man.. but life has not stopped, it's so busy and Aidan turns to be a sensitive, cute, funny, fun little guy, he really steals my heart.

We recently went to visit our relatives and we just got back... this smart little boy knew exactly what was going on, what happened if he travels by plane.. so when we arrived home safely after so long, I thought he would look around the house, trying to find the people he loves.... 

This time... he just said : "All gone!!!"

One time, he just asked his dad... he misses his uncle a lot...

Aidan : "Daddy, where's ayung (my brother) ?"

Daddy : "He is in Indonesia, Aidan"

Aidan : "Issssyaaaaa ?"

Although during the trip his verbal skill jumps to the moon and he could say 4 words in a sentence, he still repeating the last word of any sentences we said to him...

Aidan asked for something, Daddy gave it to him

Daddy : "What do you say, Aidan ?"

Aidan : "sayyyy ?"

Daddy : "say thank you, Aidan"

Aidan : "ma kasih (thank you in Indonesian language)" with a big smirk on his face.

Aidan turns 2.

My baby, finally turning to be a big man. He changed so much during the past 2 months, he is so cheerful, sweet, funny, smart, strong, affectionate, cuddly, and talkative, just like his sister. Being under the same star, pisces, they almost have the same personality, only the gender behavior defined them as different child. 

Aidan, was a bit slower on the words and potty, but he is so advanced in gross motor control and much stronger and active, and responsive than Nadia. He loves to sing, dancing, and riding on the horse and cars.

His passion towards car and plane, brings him to even trying to open the new car's door from the dealer brochure. 

As he turned 2 today, he was just couldn't get enough the cake and singing happy birthday.

His language skills grows so fast now that he just picks up anything we say.

Aidan loves his big sister so much, anything Nadia does, he wants to do it, too, but sometimes he is just happy enough to sit next to her while she draws and he would play with his cars.

It has been a real pleasure to get to know and love Aidan as much as I can, just deep inside, I feel a bit of sadness realizing that my baby grows too fast.

Aidan has always been wearing undershirt (onesies), especially at this cold weather, he peed so much in the diaper and wet his onesies. I took the onesies and let him play around just only with shirt and pants, waiting to take the afternoon bath. He pulled his shirt up all the time, feeling the belly, and rub his belly on the carpet, and finally put Nadia's plush zebra, and feeling so happy that he 'is pregnant'. Nadia adores the pregnancy, too

fire truck RC

We went to the toy store this afternoon, Aidan picked the fire truck first RC car, and boy, he can't wait to play with it. I had to struggle just to put the battery because he kept pulling it away from me..... long battle, but unfortunately there is something wrong with it, it doesn't go forward, but turning around only. I am going back to the store to have a replacement. Bummer! The excitement Aidan had for this RC car was priceless!!!

Puppy Eyes

Tonight, Ammar and I had to attend 'holiday dinner/farewell party' at his hem/onc department. Pretty formal dinner.

We had our neighbor sitter to take care of the kids while we were gone. 

The minute Aidan heard the garage door opened, he rushed to the door, opened the door, and gave me this puppy eyes, giving his both arms, asking me to take him with us... and said : "Momma!!!!"

 On the way to the club, he really stole my heart with the way he approaced, puppy eyes look and the sound of his voice. Compared to Nadia at his age, she never did something like that....
