Squirmy little boy

Aidan is one of his kind. He is so squirmy, he is so independent, he doesn't like to be hold, but at the same time, he keeps climbing on us, he loves people and he hates to be alone.

Sometimes when he is tired, I don't know what to do with him, he climbs, then I hold him, in a second, he squirms and tries to get down, I let him go, then he climbs on me again.. complaining! and said : "Mama... mamma..."

Yesterday, I tried to rock him (He never sleeps being rocked, because he will arch his body trying to get away), I sat down on the yoga big ball and bounced my self while holding him, singing his songs, he fell asleep in my arm. I spent 30 minutes, just watching his peaceful face, sleeping. I remembered I always admire Nadia's baby face (even until now) that when she sleeps, she just looks soooo beautiful. I don't get much time doing that with Aidan, and I really miss it a lot. He stole my heart. He looks exactly like Nadia, with long eyelashes, only the differences are in the nose and mouth. Nadia has more girly nose and mouth, but the eyes.. exactly look the same when he sleeps.

Today, we just got back from the brunch invitation at Luca's family's house.. their brand new house and he didn't take naps at all, I rocked him again, he fell asleep 3 times after being awake several times, and I just realized, that he will be my last.. ever... baby in the family and I should enjoy him more. I love this guy so much, he is so different than Nadia, is that because his name is just the opposite spelling of Nadia's name ? Nadia is as girly as she can be.. and Aidan is just 100% boy with a friendly personality. Nadia used to be more quiet baby and not as friendly baby as Aidan, but now.. gee... she is the friendliest 3.5 year old in the neighborhood.

Anyways, just holding him in my arms, sleeping soundly, with soft breathing noise.. I could do it 24 hours just to watch him and enjoy him if possible. I can't nurse him anymore since he has no interest.. still have the milk, but he just don't want it... I wish!

I love you Aidan... Mommy loves you so much!

We are back!

We are back home. Funny how Aidan couldn't sleep in the plane and of course, he didn't sleep in the car on the way back home from the airport. The airport was packed! Christmas traveling. Yes.. we arrived midnight. I changed his pjs and he went straight to bed, no fuss. He hates his playpen aka crib during our stay in Sedona. The boy woke up happily when he woke up at 9 am this morning.

Happy 10 months birthday, Aidan

Aidan turns 10 month old. He becomes a very strong boy. He drools like faucet, especially at this time, right away after his shot on Friday, we left to Arizona the next day, he just got bad cough and cold. Poor guy. He still got the liquid from his previous ear infection, but according to his pediatrician, it's not infected. We were so worry that he would be fussy in the plane, but he was so good. He enjoyed sitting all by himself in the plane being strapped. The plane was not too bad, he slept a bit and slept again on the way to Sedona from Phoenix. It's Aidan's first time going to Sedona. He has hard time sleeping on his playpen. Not like Nadia who adjusted so well at his age, he just love to sleep in his own bed, so he doesn't sleep to good anywhere other than at home. But, nothing seems to bother him, except that he was hold back from his exploring. He explored everywhere in the place we stayed, he explored to the bathroom, mommy's room, Nadia's closets, and his favorite place to explore is the kitchen and played with garlic until one time we found him chewing on a clove of garlic.. he smells 'awesome' when we found him. He crawls in full speed, in a blink of an eye, he would be already in the bathroom from the living room.

He loves playing with nadia, blows raspberry then followed by Nadia, then they keep taking their turn to blow raspberry and had a blast in the car.

He also could call us... "dya... or Nana" for Nadia, "mama" for mommy, "baba/dada" for Daddy.. and of course calling all of us by saying " AH!!!!! AH!!!!" He loves to babble and talks. He smiles a lot.. his 4 teeth grows significantly, and drools like faucet.

The highlight of turning 10 month old is that he is now independent, he doesn't want to nurse or has no interest in nursing at all. He loves his bottle which he can fill his stomach in no time.

This morning was his last time nursing with mommy which only takes... 2 minutes!! Then he was ready to run around the hotel.

Aidan is sprouting new tooth again, now he has very tiny 2 upper teeth and almost fully sprouted 2 bottom teeth.

After a full 8 days without eating and drinking (made me worry!! The doctor told me he had stomach bugs, but my friend told me because he was teething, but with diarrhea and I have to bath him 3 times a day because the diarrhea was sooo messy, I think the stomach bug explained it), now he is catching up. He doesn't care too much of getting the breastmilk because he has to work harder than the easy bottle... now he only nurse in the morning and night. He drinks easily 8 ounces every time. He eats crackers, rice porridge, and all kind of baby food. 

His fine motor and gross motor is very good, he crawls in speed, he picked up baby finger food so easily and eat them in no time, and he loves to play other with his toys (means Nadia's toys, remote control, chairs, and the dirt from the palm tree!!!)

He laughs a lot, very cuddly, and he sleeps 3 hours in the morning and 13 hours at night. 

He has a baby sitter now, her name is Anna. She is Brazilian and he Loves her. Nadia loves her, too. While Anna is baby sitting the kids, Mommy studies for her exam.

Yes, the tooth is erupting! I heard him grinding.... Yay Aidan!

Still, he is nursing... but he has not eaten anything compare to what he usually does... toothache ? Gumache ? I hope so...
