Tummy time

4 hours

The boy ate so much, as if he never got fed. After reading stories to Nadia, I got back to bed, while Ammar finally gave him 3 oz of formula, because he kept asking to suck on milk. He still didn't want to sleep and got cranky, finally, I nursed him, he fell asleep almost instantly. It was 11.30 pm and I put him on his belly, the minute he woke up, it was 4 am.. yay, the boy sleeps 4 hours.

Nice walk

We walked around the neighborhood this morning. Aidan is carried with baby bjorn, he fell asleep while big sister nadia rode on the trike. Nice weather.

Smile

I talked to Aidan today, and he looked at my eyes and smiled at me. That was his first meaningful smile he made.

Colicky baby

He grunted and grunts.... whole night. Whole day. Called the ped office, they said they are rather not giving any thing. Zantac ?
My doctor husband think he needs Zantac. Oh well, maybe I should call them up again today.

First time dinner outing

It's Daddy's 2 weeks Round Consult Service, so he has to work even on the weekends. At dinner, Mommy decided to have the whole family out for dinner, at Olive's Garden, the Italian Restaurant. Mmmm, yummy!!
Aidan got his own car seat craddle right next to Mommy and the Sleepy head let us eat peacefully until we got home. What a good boy. Some people peeked on the baby, though...

My sister, Nadia

My sister loves me so much now.. she kisses me all the time and shares her stuff around the house.. She also plays with my swing, I don't mind sharing with her because she is my big sister, a wonderful big sister and we are so happy family.

Back to shape

It's the 20th day after the birth of Aidan, and I am proudly announce that I could fit in my old pants again. We went outing with the girl, my mother, and Aidan to the park. It was such a beautiful day, it's so warm and sunny and I could fit in my old clothes.. yay!!

Aidan slept all the time in his baby bjorn carrier while big sister Nadia played on the playground with her Daddy. It was the day of her life, she was so happy playing outside with all of us. We ate at burger king (and Nadia still ordered McDonalds chicken nuggets happy meal to the guy there.. haha) and finished all her food, while Aidan, the sleepy head during the day continued his sleep until we got home.

Quality night

 

Gassy

Aidan had been so good at night, he wakes up at 11 pm, then 2 am, then 7 am in the morning, I only wake up once in the middle of the night. Yay, he is such a good boy.

Yesterday, my mother cook some shrimp dishes with carrot, broccoli, and cucumber, it was yummy. I avoided the broccoli because I dont want Aidan to be gassy, but I didn't realize by eating the sauce of this dishes makes him gassy, too. He was gassy the whole day, he didn't complain, I only feel that his stomach has been so 'noisy'. At night, I have to take care of the two kids, even I had to drive (which I am not supposed to yet legally) to pick Nadia up from school, because Ammar is playing tennis. I bathed Nadia, put her to bed, nursed Aidan, put him to bed, and went to bed myself at 9.30 pm. Aidan awake at 10.30 pm, right before Ammar went home, he woke up again at 12.30am, and made so much noise, finally I decided to go sleep in his room, and leave Ammar sleep peacefully because he has to work the next day. I ended up not be able to sleep because he kept waking up every hour...and nursed all night.. until 5 am, he finally asleep next to me in the bed...

Next time.. not even eat brocolly or anything is it's sauce... no more gassy newborn!!!

My first well child care visit

 

 

 

 

With Daddy and Mommy, we saw Dr. Sandvig. She is a nice pediatrician.
Aidan gained more than his birth weight and got an inch taller.
Everything is good. Daddy was worried about my jaundice, it has been more than a week, but Dr. Sandvig said it's okay, it's a jaundice from Mommy's breast milk.

2 weeks check up

 

 

 

 

Aidan's 2 weeks check up. Daddy finally got to meet the pediatrician first time. He was doing very well. The doctor was happy. We were worry about his jaundice, even after 1 week he still have jaundice but the doctor reminded Ammar that sometimes it can happen because of the breast milk and nothing to be worry about and no need to stop nursing because of it. He is gaining weight and looks completely healthy. Thanks God. We got 2 healthy children.

The guy has finally up now

It has been 2 days that Aidan is more alert, at least he opens his eyes more, now we can see the color of his eyes, they look like they will be brownish like Nadia. He also has the same colored hair like Nadia when she was born.
He is such a very mellow guy, I think he got more of my personality, and compared to Nadia, eventhough she was a wonderful and a very very good baby, Aidan was even better... he is so patient... when he cries, he doesn't scream...

Today, I fell asleep straight from 4.30pm to 6.30pm (I woke up just because Aidan "called" me), and everyone was so hungry, including the big sister, so he got to wait until I gave milk for Nadia who was starving (note that Nadia until now she doesn't leave her fire truck bed eventhough she had already waken up, she waited for one of us gets her.. she doesn't want her grandma to get her even)..... he was just waiting, patiently....

Usually he wakes up 3 times at night.... so I hope it will be better and I will get more sleep.

Today, Daddy played tennis.. he came home only for half an hour after work, and got ready to play tennis... he was wonderful, though, we played the hippo with Nadia and he changed Nadia's pajama first before he left...
