fire truck RC
We went to the toy store this afternoon, Aidan picked the fire truck first RC car, and boy, he can't wait to play with it. I had to struggle just to put the battery because he kept pulling it away from me..... long battle, but unfortunately there is something wrong with it, it doesn't go forward, but turning around only. I am going back to the store to have a replacement. Bummer! The excitement Aidan had for this RC car was priceless!!!

Puppy Eyes
Tonight, Ammar and I had to attend 'holiday dinner/farewell party' at his hem/onc department. Pretty formal dinner.
We had our neighbor sitter to take care of the kids while we were gone.
The minute Aidan heard the garage door opened, he rushed to the door, opened the door, and gave me this puppy eyes, giving his both arms, asking me to take him with us... and said : "Momma!!!!"
On the way to the club, he really stole my heart with the way he approaced, puppy eyes look and the sound of his voice. Compared to Nadia at his age, she never did something like that....

Potty success!
It's been 3 days, that every morning after milk, I put Aidan in the potty for number 2. He failed and he ended up pooping in the freshly changed diapers! Bummer.
Today, he napped so long and I was so worry that something had happened with him, so I went to check on him, the minute I got in his bedroom, he woke up and I was surprisingly so happy that he was okay (got a bit worry with him lately). I went to take off his clothes, and put him in the potty, and said : "sssssssss" to him, he laughed and sure enough, in seconds he peed in the potty!
YAY, Aidan!!!! Okay, now number 1 has passed!
He has been so happy right after woke up, we ended up going with bicycle ride, 5 big rounds around the neighborhood, another round with wagon, 1 round with the battery car, and the last one: daddy's big tractor. He didn't want to get off and enjoyed behind the tractor's wheel. He was so happy today. Atta boy!

Aidan's first playdate
Sometimes I think I am a bad mom in terms of treating Aidan compares to how I did for Nadia at her age. Nadia used to go to lots of playdates since she was 6 months old. Even until now, it's easier to arrange Nadia's play dates than Aidan's, so he usually had to tag along with his sister's play dates. I have been so busy and I just never arranged special playdate for Aidan himself.
Finally I arranged to have Aidan play with other toddler his age. Luckily, it's Jack, the new neighbor who just moved recently. Jack was born only 7 days later than Aidan.
We went to Hudson Mills Park, and they boys had great time together. Like a typical 1 year old playdates, they didn't seem to play together, but they sat together and Jack hugged Aidan.
I can tell Aidan's mood was pleasantly happy until the bedtime. No meltdown whatsoever. Although he had a long day today (he still had to play with the neighbor sitter, Alicia, he was completely in joy).
His first own play date. Yay.

The boy is sick and cuddly
Have we told you how active Aidan is ?
at 3 am, he cried so hard, curling in his crib. When Ammar got him, he was shivering....
He lied down quietly and believe me.. not moving in between us until the tylenol kicks in then he started to move a bit. His fever was 102F.
He couldn't sleep in our bed, so Daddy put him back to his crib and he slept soundly until 9.30 am.. I was so worry that we both checked on him. He was breathing well.
Both of the kids got fever this morning. Nadia's temp was about 101F and all of us got fever...
Good thing to have Aidan sick is that he is not moving so much and he is so cuddly. So Ammar and I took the advantage of this rarely moment to cuddle and play with him, of course, ended up trimming his hair... He looks cute with his new hair do.

Hey, I am HOME!!
Aidan, who has been so cranky at the hotel, once he got home, he was so hungry and refused to sit on the high chair so Daddy took him to see his bedroom. Once he saw his bedroom, he started laughing and he voluntary with no fight sat on the high chair and ate his first chicken!!! A lot of them, the whole time he ate he was so happy and said "Daddy!!! million times", drank his water, then 'burb' and laugh himself.... no fighting whatsoever to go to sleep... sleep very soundly through the night.... yes, he needs that. All of us, especially me needs the good night sleep peacefully and happily. What a trip!!

Diarrhea and scared
Aidan definitely not loving the hotel room we are staying. He felt so insecure that he doesn't want to play all by himself and needs me to carry him or hold him.
He also suffers from diarrhea, maybe that's why he is not himself.
But surely he has so much fun playing in the swimming pool and strolls on the boardwalk along the beach at Hollywood Beach, FL, just in front of our hotel.

Climb up the stairs
Every time going to bed, he didn't want to be carried up, he jumped down and crawled up all by himself, but usually he kept continuing going to another step up to mommy and daddy's room...... No, Aidan... come back here and go to your room!
Life has been so busy that I should have taking pictures since he started a while back, but I have to have someone watching him from down, so this time, Daddy was home and follow him up while I took pictures.
